The space The south coast of the center of the Peloponnese between the steep slopes of Mount Taygetus and the sea forms the legendary and ancient land of Sparta and Mani. Kardamyli is one of the most beautiful and historic places of the "green" or Messinian Mani; olive trees, cypress trees, pine trees and all the ancient Greek flora are here. The area is filled with beaches: Kalamitsi, Ritsa, Chalikia, Salios, and Neo Proastio. The older town includes a medieval castle and outworks, and the imposing church of Saint Spyridon. The skyline of Kardamyli, like many other Maniot towns and villages, is dominated by the distinctive regional architecture of the various towers. Kardamyli is the departure point of many mountain trails, some of which lead to the peak of Mount Taygetus. Nearby is the Viros Gorge, with a total length of 20 km. Further afield, one may visit Itilos, Areopoli and the Diros caverns. The tower we rent for our exclusive guests lies on a hill over Kardamyli town and has great views of the Sparta Taygetus mountain and the Mediterranean Sea. The beach is just 3 km downhill and the town is the same distance away for provisions, nice taverns, etc. The all-stone tower house has 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and a large swimming pool. 6 acres of land encircle the property. Guest access The house can be reached by driving on the main road from Kalamata, direction Kardamyli. Having passed the village Stavropigio and before reaching the village Prosilio, there is a sign on the right which reads VILLA PROSILIO. Here one has to take a turn to the right, entering a sand road which is not asphalted and leads to the Villa after approx. 1500 meters. Outdoor pool: 15 × 5 m, 3 m deep.
